And yet beings do not abide in Me; behold My lordly discipline (yogamaiśvaram)! Bearing beings but not abiding in beings, My self (ātman) is the cause of beings.
Behold the power of my discipline; these creatures are really not in me; my self quickens creatures, sustaining them without being in them.
(5) And [yet] contingent beings do not subsist in Me,—behold my sovereign skill-in-works (yoga): my Self sustains [all] beings, It does not subsist in them; It causes them to be-and-grow.
9.5 Nor do the beings dwell in Me. Behold My divine Yoga! I am the sustainer and originator of beings, but My Self is not contained in the beings.
9.5 And yet beings do not abide in Me. Behold My divine Yoga. I am the upholder of all beings and yet I am not in them. My will alone causes their existence.
9.5 Nor do beings exist in Me (in reality); behold My divine Yoga, supporting all beings, but not dwelling in them, is My Self, the efficient cause of beings.
