I am the strength of the strong, devoid of desire (kāma) and passion (rāga). In beings, I am desire (kāma) not contrary to duty (dharma), O best of the Bharatas (Bharatarṣabha).
Of strong men, I am strength, without the emotion of desire; in creatures I am the desire that does not impede sacred duty.
(11) Power in the powerful am I—[such power] as knows neither desire nor passion: desire am I in contingent beings, [but such desire as] does not conflict with righteousness.
7.11 And of the strong I am the strength which is devoid of passion and attachment. Among creatures I am desire which is not contrary to righteousness, O scion of the Bhārata dynasty.
7.11 In the strong, I am strength, devoid of desire and passion. In all beings, I am the desire which is not forbidden by law (Dharma), O Arjuna.
7.11 Of the strong, I am the strength devoid of desire and attachment, and in (all) beings, I am the desire unopposed to Dharma, O Arjuna.
