With a tranquil self, his fear gone, established in the vow of a celibate student (brahmacārin), Having controlled the mind, intent on Me, he should sit disciplined (yukta), holding Me as the supreme.
The self tranquil, his fear dispelled, firm in his vow of celibacy, his mind restrained, let him sit with discipline, his thought fixed on me, intent on me.
(14) [There] let him sit, [his] self all stilled, his fear all gone, firm in his vow of chastity, his mind controlled, his thoughts on Me, integrated, [yet] intent on Me.
6.14 He should remain seated with a placid mind, free from fear, firm in the vow of a celibate, and with the mind fixed on Me by controlling it through concentration, having Me as the supreme Goal.
6.14 Serene and fearless, firm in the vow of celibacy, holding the mind in check and fixing the thought on Me, he should sit in Yoga, intent on Me.
6.14 Serene-minded, fearless, firm in the vow of a Brahmacārin, having controlled the mind, thinking of Me and balanced in mind, let him sit, having Me as his supreme goal.
