He who has renounced actions (karma) through discipline (yoga), whose doubts are severed by knowledge (jñāna), Who is possessed of the self (ātman), actions do not bind him, O Winner of wealth (Dhanañjaya).
Arjuna, actions do not bind a man in possession of himself, who renounces action through discipline and severs doubt with knowledge.
(41) Let a man in spiritual exercise [all] works renounce, let him by wisdom [all] doubts dispel, let him be himself, and then [whatever] his works [may be, they] will never bind him [more].
4.41 O Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), actions do not bind one who has renounced actions through yoga, whose doubt has been fully dispelled by Knowledge, and who is not inadvertent.
4.41 Actions do not bind him, O Arjuna, who has renounced them through Karma Yoga and whose doubts are sundered by knowledge, and who therefore possesses a steady mind.
4.41 He who has renounced actions by Yoga, whose doubts are rent asunder by knowledge, and who is self-possessed -- actions do not bind him, O Arjuna.
