Arjuna said: But impelled by what does this person commit sin (pāpa), Even unwillingly, O descendant of Vrishni (Vārṣṇeya), as if driven by force?
Krishna, what makes a person commit evil against his own will, as if compelled by force?
Arjuna said: (36) Then by what impelled does [mortal] man do evil 'unwilling though he be? He is driven to it by force, or so it seems to me.
3.36 Arjuna said -- Now then, O scion of the Vṛṣṇī dynasty (Kṛṣṇa), impelled by what does this man commit sin even against his wish, being constrained by force, as it were?
3.36 Arjuna said -- But, impelled by what, O Kṛṣṇa, does one (practicing Jñāna Yoga), commit sin even against his own will, constrained as it were, by force?
3.36 Arjuna said -- But impelled by what does man commit sin, though against his wishes, O Vārṣṇeya (Kṛṣṇa), constrained as it were, by force?
