Sañjaya said: Having spoken thus to the Lord of the senses (Hṛṣīkeśa), The Thick-haired one (Guḍākeśa), the Scorcher of foes (Parantapa), Having said to the Finder of cows (Govinda), "I will not fight," He became silent.
Arjuna told this to Krishna—then saying, “I shall not fight,” he fell silent.
(9) These [were the words that] Arjuna addressed to Kṛṣṇa, and then he said to him: ‘I will not fight!’ And having spoken held his peace.
2.9 Sañjaya said -- Having spoken thus to Hṛṣīkeśa (Kṛṣṇa), Guḍākeśa (Arjuna), the afflicter of foes, verily became silent, telling Govinda, 'I shall not fight.'
