For a man dwelling on the objects of the senses, Attachment to them is born; From attachment, desire (kāma) is born; From desire, anger (krodha) is born.
Brooding about sensuous objects makes attachment to them grow; from attachment desire arises, from desire anger is born.
(62) Let a man [but] think of the objects of sense—attachment to them is born: from attachment springs desire, from desire is anger born.
2.62-2.63 In the case of a person who dwells on objects, there arises attachment for them. From attachment grows hankering, from hankering springs anger.
