Occurring of its own accord, As an open door to heaven, Happy are the warriors (kṣatriyāḥ), O son of Pritha (Pārtha), Who obtain such a battle.
The doors of heaven open for warriors who rejoice to have a battle like this thrust on them by chance.
(32) Happy the warriors indeed who become involved in such a war as this, presented by pure chance and opening the doors of paradise.
2.32 O son of Pārtha, happy are the Kṣatriyas who come across this kind of a battle, which presents itself unsought for and which is an open gate to heaven.
