The Blessed Lord (Śrī Bhagavān) said: You have grieved for those not to be grieved for, Yet you speak words of wisdom. For the departed and for the not departed, The wise (paṇḍitāḥ) do not grieve.
You grieve for those beyond grief, and you speak words of insight; but learned men do not grieve for the dead or the living.
(11) You sorrow for men who do not need your sorrow and [yet] speak words that [in part] are wise. Wise men do not sorrow for the living or the dead. The Undying Self
2.11 The Blessed Lord said -- You grieve for those who are not to be grieved for; and you speak words of wisdom! The learned do not grieve for the departed and those who have not departed.
2.11 The Lord said -- You grieve for those who should not be grieved for; yet you speak words of wisdom. The wise grieve neither for the dead nor for the living.
2.11 The Blessed Lord said -- Thou hast grieved for those that should not be grieved for, yet thou speakest words of wisdom. The wise grieve neither for the living nor for the dead.
