Having transcended these three qualities (guṇān), which are the origin of the body, the embodied one (dehī), Freed from birth, death, old age, and sorrow, enjoys immortality (amṛta).
Transcending the three qualities that are the body's source, the self achieves immortality, freed from the sorrows of birth, death, and old age.
(20) Transcending these three constituents which give the body its existence, from the sufferings of birth, death, and old age delivered, the embodied [self] wins immortality.
14.20 Having transcended these three qualities which are the origin of the body, the embodied one, becoming free from birth, death, old age and sorrows, experiences Immortality.
14.20 The embodied self, crossing beyond these three Guṇas which arise in the body, and freed from birth, death, age and pain, attains immortality.
14.20 The embodied one having crossed beyond these three Guṇas out of which the body is evolved, is freed from birth, death, decay and pain, and attains to immortality.
