To whom blame and praise are equal, who is silent, satisfied with anything whatever, Without a fixed home (aniketaḥ), of steady mind, the man full of devotion (bhaktimān) is dear to Me.
Neutral to blame and praise, silent, content with his fate, unsheltered, firm in thought, the man of devotion is dear to me.
(18-19) I love the man who is the same to friend and foe, [the same] whether he be respected or despised, the same in heat and cold, in pleasure as in pain, who has put away attachment and remains unmoved by praise or blame, who is taciturn, contented with whatever comes his way, having no home, of steady mind, [but] loyal-devoted-and-devout.
12.19 The person to whom denunciation and praise are the same, who is silent, content with anything, homeless, steady-minded, and full of devotion is dear to Me.
12.19 He who regards alike both blame and praise, who is silent and content with any lot, who has no home, who is firm of mind, and who is devoted to Me --- dear to Me is such a man.
