Having seen what was never seen before, I am thrilled, and my mind is trembling with fear. Show me that very form, O God (Deva); be gracious, O Lord of gods (Deveśa), O Abode of the universe (Jagannivāsa)!

Stoller MillerLiterary

I am thrilled, and yet my mind trembles with fear at seeing what has not been seen before. Show me, God, the form I know— be gracious, Lord of Gods, Shelter of the World.

ZaehnerJesuit

(45) Things never seen before I have seen, and ecstatic is my joy; yet fear-and-trembling perturb my mind. Show me, then, God, that [same human] form [I knew]; have mercy, Lord of gods, home of the universe!

GambhiranandaAdvaita

11.45 I am delighted by seeing something not seen heretofore, and my mind is stricken with fear. O Lord, show me that very form; O supreme God, O Abode of the Universe, be gracious!

AdidevanandaVishishtadvaita

11.45 Seeing what was never seen before, I am delighted. But my mind is also agog with awe. Show me, O Lord! Your other form. O Lord of the gods! Be gracious, O Abode of the universe!

SivanandaVedanta

11.45 I am delighted, having seen what has never been seen before; and yet my mind is distressed with fear. Show me that (previous) form only, O God; have mercy, O God of gods, O Abode of the universe.
