The seven great seers (maharṣayaḥ) of old, and the four Manus as well, Are of My nature (madbhāvāḥ), born of My mind, from whom these creatures in the world arise.
The seven ancient great sages and the four ancestors of man are mind-born aspects of me; their progeny fills the world.
(6) The seven mighty seers of old, likewise the Manus four, sharing in my mode of being, were born [the children] of [my] mind; from them [arose] these creatures in the world.
10.6 The seven great sages as also the four Manus of ancient days, of whom are these creatures in the world, had their thoughts fixed on Me, and they were born from My mind.
10.6 The seven great seers of yore and similarly the four Manus, all possessing My mental disposition, were born of My mind. All these creatures of the world are descended from them.
10.6 The seven great sages, the ancient four and also the Manus, possessed of powers like Me (on account of their minds being fixed on Me), were born of (My) mind; from them are these creatures born in this world.
