Of purifiers I am the wind; of weapon-bearers I am Rama. Of fishes I am the Makara (crocodile); of rivers I am the Jahnavi (Ganges).
I am the purifying wind, the warrior Rama bearing arms, the sea-monster crocodile, the flowing river Ganges.
(31) Among those who purify I am the wind, Rama I am among men at arms; among water-monsters I am the crocodile, among rivers I am the Ganges.
10.31 Of the purifiers I am air; among the wielders of weapons I am Rama. Among fishes, too, I am the shark; I am Ganga among rivers.
