I am the Self (ātman), O Thick-haired one (Guḍākeśa), seated in the hearts of all beings. I am the beginning, the middle, and the very end of beings.
I am the self abiding in the heart of all creatures; I am their beginning, their middle, and their end.
(20) I am the Self established in the heart of all contingent beings: I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all contingent beings too.
