How may I know You, O Yogi, constantly meditating on You? And in what various states of being, are You to be thought of by me, O Blessed Lord (Bhagavan)?
Lord of Discipline, how can I know you as I meditate on you—in what diverse aspects can I think of you, Krishna?
(17) How am I to know You, [great] athlete of the spirit, though I think about You always? And in what several modes of being should I think about You, Blessed Lord.
10.17 O Yogi, [Here yoga stands for the results of yoga, viz omniscience, omnipotence, etc.; one possessed of these is a yogi. (See Comm. on 10.7)] how shall I know You by remaining ever-engaged in meditation? And through what objects, O Lord, are You to be meditated on by me?
10.17 How can I, Your devotee, know You by constantly meditating on You? And in what modes, O Lord, are you to be meditated upon by Me.
10.17 How shall I, ever meditating, know Thee, O Yogin? In what aspects or things, O blessed Lord, art Thou to be thought of by me?
