Sañjaya said: Having spoken thus in the battle, Arjuna Sat down on the seat of the chariot, Casting aside his bow along with the arrows, His mind overwhelmed by sorrow.
Saying this in the time of war, Arjuna slumped into the chariot and laid down his bow and arrows, his mind tormented by grief.
(47) So saying Arjuna sat down upon the chariot-scat [though] battle [hart begun], let slip his bow and arrows, his mind distraught with grief.
1.47 Sañjaya narrated: Having said so, Arjuna, with a mind afflicted with sorrow, sat down on the chariot in the midst of the battle, casting aside the bow along with the arrows.
1.47 Sañjaya said -- Having spoken thus on the battle-field, Arjuna threw aside his bow and arrows and sat down on the seat of the chariot, his heart overwhelmed with grief.
