अहो बत महत्पापं कर्तुं व्यवसिता वयम्। यद्राज्यसुखलोभेन हन्तुं स्वजनमुद्यताः ॥1.45॥
1.45 aho bata mahat pāpaṃ kartuṃ vyavasitā vayam yad rājyasukhalobhena hantuṃ svajanam udyatāḥ

Alas! A great sin (pāpa), We are resolved to commit, Since, by the greed for the pleasures of a kingdom, We are prepared to kill our own people.
