Guarded by Bhishma, the strength of our army is without limit; but the strength of their army, guarded by Bhima, is limited.

(10) Imperfect are those our forces, though Bhīṣma [himself] protects them, but perfect are these their forces which Bhīma guards,

1.10 Therefore, our army under the complete protection of Bhīṣma and others is unlimited. But this army of these (enemies), under the protection of Bhīma and others is limited.

1.10 Inadequate is this force of ours, which is guarded by Bhīṣma, while adequate is that force of theirs, which is guarded by Bhīma.

1.10 This army of ours marshaled by Bhīṣma is insufficient, whereas that army of theirs marshaled by Bhīma is sufficient.
