Men who are without faith (aśraddadhānāḥ) in this duty (dharma), O Scorcher of foes (Parantapa), Do not attain Me, and they return to the path of the cycle of death and rebirth (saṃsāra).
Without faith in sacred duty, men fail to reach me, Arjuna; they return to the cycle of death and rebirth.
(3) Men who put no faith in this law of righteousness fail to reach Me and must return to the road of recurring death.
9.3 O destroyer of foes, persons who are regardless of this Dharma (knowledge of the Self) certainly go round and round, without reaching Me, along the path of transmigration which is fraught with death.
9.3 Men devoid of faith in this Dharma, O scorcher of foes, ever remain without attaining Me, in the mortal pathway of Saṃsāra.
9.3 Those who have no faith in this Dharma (knowledge of the Self), O Paraṃtapa (Arjuna), return to the path of this world of death without attaining Me.
