Noble are all these indeed, but the man of knowledge (jñānī) is My very self (ātman); this is My opinion. For with a disciplined self (yuktātmā), he is established in Me alone, the supreme goal.
They are all noble, but I regard the man of knowledge to be my very self; self-disciplined, he holds me to be the highest way.
(18) All these are noble-and-exalted, but the man of wisdom is [my] very self, so do I hold, for with self [already] integrated he puts his trust in Me, the one all-highest Way.
7.18 All of these, indeed, are noble, but the man of Knowledge is the very Self. (This is) My opinion. For, with a steadfast mind, he is set on the path leading to Me alone who am the super-excellent Goal.
7.18 All these are indeed generous (udārāḥ), but I deem the man of knowledge to be My very self; for he, integrated, is devoted to Me alone as the highest end.
7.18 Noble indeed are all these; but I deem the wise man as My very Self; for, steadfast in mind he is established in Me alone as the supreme goal.
