Arjuna said: One who is uncontrolled but endowed with faith (śraddhā), whose mind has wandered from discipline (yoga), Not having attained the perfection of discipline (yogasamsiddhi), to what path does he go, O Dark one (Kṛṣṇa)?
When a man has faith, but no ascetic will, and his mind deviates from discipline before its perfection is achieved, what way is there for him, Krishna?
Arjuna said: (37) [Suppose] a man of faith should strive in vain, his restless mind shying away from spiritual exercise (yoga): he fails to win the perfect prize of integration (yoga)—what path does he tread [then]?
6.37 Arjuna said -- O Kṛṣṇa, failing to achieve perfection in Yoga, what goal does one attain who, though possessed of faith, is not diligent and whose mind becomes deflected from Yoga?
6.37 Arjuna said -- If a person, who is possessed of faith but has put in only inadequate effort, finds his mind wandering away from Yoga, and then fails to attain perfection --- what way does he go, O Kṛṣṇa?
6.37 Arjuna said -- He who is unable to control himself though he has the faith, and whose mind wanders away from Yoga, what end does he, having failed to attain perfection in Yoga, meet, O Kṛṣṇa?
