He who is able to endure here on earth, before liberation from the body, The force arising from desire (kāma) and anger (krodha), he is disciplined (yukta), he is a happy man.
A man able to endure the force of desire and anger before giving up his body is disciplined and joyful.
(23) Only the man who [remains] in this world and, before he is released from the body, can stand fast against the onset of desire and anger, is [truly] integrated, [truly] happy.
5.23 One who can withstand here itself-before departing from the body the impulse arising from desire and anger, that man is a yogi; he is happy.
5.23 He who is able, even here, before he is released from the body, to bear the impulse generated by desire and wrath, he is a Yogin (competent for self-realization); he is the happy man.
5.23 He who is able, while still here (in this world) to withstand, before the liberation from the body, the impulse born out of desire and anger -- he is a Yogi, he is a happy man.
