For the gods, nourished by sacrifice (yajña), will give you the enjoyments you desire. He who enjoys what is given by them without offering to them, he is a thief indeed.
Enriched by sacrifice, the gods will give you the delights you desire; he is a thief who enjoys their gifts without giving to them in return.”
(12) For, [so] sustained by sacrifice the gods will give you the food of your desire. Whoso enjoys their gift yet gives them nothing [in return] is a thief, no more nor less.'
3.12 'Being nourished by sacrifices, the gods will indeed give you the coveted enjoyments. He is certainly a thief who enjoys what have been given by them without offering (these) to them.'
3.12 The gods, pleased by the sacrifice, will bestow on you the enjoyments you desire. He who enjoys the bounty of the gods without giving them anything in return, is but a thief.
3.12 The gods, nourished by the sacrifice, will give you the desired objects. So, he who enjoys the objects given by the gods without offering (in return) to them, is verily a thief.
