Vigor (tejas), patience (kṣamā), resolve (dhṛti), purity (śauca), absence of malice, and absence of excessive pride; These belong to one born to the divine endowment (daivī sampad), O descendant of Bharata (Bhārata).
Brilliance, patience, resolve, clarity, absence of envy and of pride; these characterize a man born with divine traits.
(3) ardent, patient, enduring, pure, not treacherous nor arrogant,—such is the man who is born to [inherit] a godly destiny.
16.3 Vigor, forgiveness, fortitude, purity, freedom from malice, absence of haughtiness-these, O scion of the Bhārata dynasty, are (the qualities) of one born destined to have the divine nature.
16.3 Grandeur, patience, fortitude, purity, freedom from hatred, and from over-pride --- these, O Arjuna, belong to him who is born to a divine destiny.
16.3 Vigor, forgiveness, fortitude, purity, absence of hatred, absence of pride -- these belong to the one born for a divine state, O Arjuna.
