Sitting like one who is indifferent, who is not shaken by the qualities (guṇaiḥ), Thinking "The qualities operate," who stands firm and does not waver.
He remains disinterested, unmoved by qualities of nature; he never wavers, knowing that only qualities are in motion.
(23) As one indifferent he sits, by the constituents unruffled: 'So the constituents are busy': thus he thinks. Firm-based is he, unquavering.
14.23 He who, sitting like one indifferent, is not distracted by the three qualities; he who, thinking that the qualities alone act, remains firm and surely does not move;
14.23 He who sits like one unconcerned, undisturbed by the Guṇas; who knows, 'It is the Guṇas that move,' and so rests unshaken;
14.23 He who, seated like one unconcerned, is not moved by the qualities, and who, knowing that the qualities are active, is self-centered and moves not.
