Of all trees, the Ashvattha (sacred fig tree); of the divine seers (devarṣīṇām), Narada. Of the Gandharvas, Chitraratha; of the perfected ones (siddhānām), the sage Kapila.
Among trees, I am the sacred fig-tree; I am chief of the divine sages, leader of the celestial musicians, the recluse philosopher among saints.
(26) among all trees the holy fig-tree, Nārada among the celestial seers, among the heavenly minstrels Citraratha, among perfected beings Kapila, the silent sage.
10.26 Among all trees (I am) the Aśvattha (peepul), and Nārada among the divine sages. Among the Gandharvas [A class of demigods regarded as the musicians of gods.] (I am) Citraratha; among the perfected ones, the sage Kapila.
