These bodies are said to have an end, Belonging to the eternal embodied one (śarīriṇaḥ), The indestructible and immeasurable; Therefore fight, O descendant of Bharata (Bhārata)!
Our bodies are known to end, but the embodied self is enduring, indestructible, and immeasurable; therefore, Arjuna, fight the battle!
(18) Finite, they say, are these [our] bodies [indwelt] by an eternal embodied [self],—[for this self is] indestructible, incommensurable. Fight then, scion of Bhārata.
2.18 These destructible bodies are said to belong to the everlasting, indestructible, indeterminable, embodied One. Therefore, O descendant of Bhārata, join the battle.
2.18 These bodies of the Jīva (the embodied self) are said to have an end while the Jīva itself is eternal, indestructible and incomprehensible. Therefore, fight O Bhārata (Arjuna).
