Of the non-existent there is no being, Of the existent there is no non-being. The boundary of both of these is seen indeed By the seers of truth (tattvadarśibhiḥ).
Nothing of nonbeing comes to be, nor does being cease to exist; the boundary between these two is seen by men who see reality.
(16) Of what is not there is no becoming; of what is there is no ceasing to be: for the boundary-line between these two is seen by men who see things as they really are.
2.16 Of the unreal there is no being; the real has no nonexistence. But the nature of both these, indeed, has been realized by the seers of Truth.
2.16 The unreal can never come into being, the real never ceases to be. The conclusion about these two is seen by the seers of truth.
2.16 The unreal hath no being; there is non-being of the real; the truth about both has been seen by the knowers of the Truth (or the seers of the Essence).
