And of the household priests, know Me to be the chief, Brihaspati, O son of Pritha (Pārtha). Of military commanders I am Skanda; of bodies of water, I am the ocean.
Arjuna, know me as the gods' teacher, chief of the household priests; I am the god of war among generals; I am the ocean of lakes.
(24) And of household priests know that I am the chief, Bṛhaspati; among war-lords I am Skanda, among lakes I am the Ocean.
10.24 O son of Pṛthā, know me to be Bṛhaspati, the foremost among the priests of kings. Among commanders of armies I am Skanda; among large expanses of water I am the sea.
10.24 Among family Priests, O Arjuna, know Me to be the chief Bṛhaspati. Of generals, I am Skanda. Of reservoirs of water, I am the ocean.
